Disability
Living with a disability does not have to stop you from living an enjoyable and fulfilling life. Physiotherapy can play a big role in helping you with your physical health, mobility, independence and community access.

- Wheelchair users can still participate in a variety of individual and group sports.
Some of the things you may have trouble with:
- You feel de-conditioned. This could be due to a period of feeling unwell, being less active, or having other priorities.
- Bed mobility, getting in/out of bed, standing up from a chair, walking
- Transfers – slideboard, hoist, standing-pivot
- Fear of falling, recent falls and/or almost falling
- Finding suitable equipment to help with your everyday function
- Using or adjusting already prescribed equipment
- Injury to someone who regularly assists with your mobility
- Completing chores around the house
- Participating in activities that you enjoy
- Participating in group activities
- Accessing the community
